Southern Shores Beach Access

The closest beach access for Gramp’s Dream is located at Hickory Trail, approximately 440 feet away. Please note from May 15-September 15, dogs are NOT allowed on the Southern Shores beaches between 9:00 AM-6:00 PM.

The Town of Southern Shores provides information about lifeguard stand locations. From Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends, the lifeguard stand located closest to your rental home is at the Hillcrest Drive Beach Access*, approximately 3500 feet north of Hickory Trail. The lifeguard stand is staffed from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily during the summer months.

*The property owner provides 2 parking passes for the Southern Shores Civic Association parking at Hillcrest Drive Beach Access if guests prefer to drive and park at this beach access. Please return the parking passes back to home after using. Parking passes are required or the vehicle(s) may be cited for a parking violation.
