A Beach Attitude will be all your family will need to have a fantastic Outer Banks vacation! It is a dog-friendly home for up to 2 pets and it is approximately 1100 feet to the Herring Street beach access in the Whalehead Beach neighborhood.
New for 2025 Season: Renovations are completed which includes the Kitchen (new cabinets, countertops, adding 2nd dishwasher); new flooring on the top level. Ground level kitchenette is also renovated with new cabinets, flooring; an ice maker appliance and beverage center were added. The Lounge area was expanded to include the kitchenette. The pictures have been updated.
Beds: 1 King Master, 4 Queens (2 Masters), 1 Double, 2 Bunk Bed Sets; 15 Towel Sets provided
TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room has beautiful outdoor views with a large, sectional sofa, a flat-screen TV and access to wide sundecks on 3 sides of the home. There is plenty of deck furniture for lounging on both the top and mid level decks. The screened porch offers more opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with a small table that can seat 6. The newly renovated kitchen now has 2 dishwashers, new countertops and cabinetry along with a separate kitchen island with 6 chairs and a built-in microwave. The dining table can easily seat 10 with 6 chairs and a bench for 4 persons. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]
MID LEVEL:
From the entry way, there is a Queen Jr. Master Suite with a semi-private bath (shower) which has a door to the hall. A separate Queen bedroom is at the back of this floor. The King Master Suite has a large master bath which features a soaking tub and a separate shower. The rooms have access to the mid level deck; a picnic table and a hammock are on the covered deck.
GROUND LEVEL:
There are 3 more bedrooms on this floor: the redecorated Queen bedroom has access to a hall bath (shower) and the next bedroom is a Queen Master Suite (redecorated); its private master bath has a shower/tub combo. The last bedroom has a Double bed with 2 Bunk Bed sets. The game area includes both a Shuffleboard table and a Foosball table in the Lounge area. There is a large flat-screen TV for viewing a ball game or a favorite program. The newly renovated kitchenette has new cabinetry, a built-in microwave, beverage center, ice maker appliance plus a dishwasher too! A full-sized refrigerator is located in the Laundry room. All of these amenities will make it super-convenient when relaxing outdoors by the pool and hot tub.
EXTRAS:
Enjoy a large private pool (15' x 24'; pool open mid-May to mid-October) and a hot tub plus there is an outdoor full bathroom with a shower to use after visiting the beach or before using the pool or hot tub. A sand volleyball court is located in the backyard. Bring your grill tools to use the propane gas grill located on the pool deck. There is parking for 6-7 vehicles.

Great house
Great house! The third floor was a great gathering place! Having the bedrooms on the other levels gave everyone their privacy. Great yard for the dogs to have. Would highly recommend this property. This being our first visit to the Outer Banks we chose a great property.

Family Vacation
Our family enjoyed all the available options this house had to offer. The pool with outdoor speakers, hot tub, lots of chairs, and picnic table was used daily. The beach was close and enjoyed daily also. From the driveway, you pass two houses, then you turn right two blocks on a pedestrian boardwalk crossing two beach roads straight to the beach access. Our family enjoyed the foosball, ping pong and shuffleboard in the downtime. The hammock and two huge decks (some with new boards) with chairs and tables were nice. The beds were comfortable also. The showers and toilets were clean. The shower doors do have parts off track but worked. The house is used, so there are a few quirks like some wiggly ceiling fans (but some were new), a slow drain, a few areas needing more cleaning but overall clean, fun and enjoyable. I liked the beach decor and art. The neighborhood was nice, felt safe and quiet besides an occasional loud car or dog bark. We appreciated being able to bring our dog and she could hang out in the fenced pool area with us. Shopping and restaurants were nearby as well as museums and activities. One can even rent golf carts to drive on beach roads, scooters and bikes. We are thankful to have had a place for our family to come, relax, and be by the beach.

Great house/close to beach
This house had everything we needed to keep our group of 12 entertained for the whole week. Close walk to the beach, pool and hot tub were nice for hanging out at night or for those who didn’t want to go to the beach. Having 2 kitchens was great for extra storage and for ease of grabbing snacks and drinks while out back. Volleyball court right outside of fenced area was nice. Shower/bathhouse outside was a great addition. The upstairs living area was a great place for us all to hang out for meals or to play board games. Usually a family that is on-the-go for vacations and this trip we didn’t feel the need to leave with all the amenities and space this home offered. Would definitely recommend for a larger group.
